(VEN) - International Minh Viet JSC (IMV) has made efforts to overcome numerous difficulties, get so many excellent achievements and stand firm in the Vietnamese market. On the occasion of the New Year 2010, Vietnam Economic News' Hai Yen spoke with Johan Muliawan, the general director of IMV.
IMV is known as a specialist in manufacturing, trading in and distributing international and domestic brands. What are key factors for the success at IMV?
The company's achievements came from its commitment to being customer focused, high quality, suitable prices, good services and sales cooperation.
Appeared in the Vietnamese market for more than 10 years, IMV is ceaselessly developing and bringing Vietnamese customers high quality products including international brands as Fujifilm (Imaging), Pigeon ( Baby care) along with domestic brands as Kaila (cosmetics for young women) and Emoto (electric motorbike) with the most suitable and competitive prices for its partners. Moreover, IMV is also handling: Digital Print on Demand (POD) of Fuji Xerox, industrial equipment for printing and packaging of Ryobi and post press equipment of Hoziron, etc. In addition, the company has always conducted a market surveys to learn customers' requirements. High attention has been paid to improving marketing through understanding the consumer's demand, business trend, improving staff qualification and diversifying the ways of approaching the business. Consequently, IMV has attracted more customers and businesses over past years. All above factors play an important role in deciding our success.
What has the company done to find out the right direction to overcome difficulties due to the impact of the economic crisis and stand firm in the Vietnamese market in an era of fiercer competition?
In fact, that is not the first crisis that we have ever faced with. The Vietnamese market is has ups and downs but it is a promising, young and attractive market for foreign invested companies. As for IMV, the most important thing that we have done to overcome numerous difficulties and challenges is to make some discussions with related parties, internal teams, suppliers, customers, about the crisis and its reasons and effects. From that, we have set up proper strategies to deal with the crisis. Moreover, with professional and dedicated staff, IMV has overcome difficulties to develop and stand firm in the Vietnamese market until now. Turnover in 2009 reached what was projected for the year. With the strengths, IMV expects to grow 20 percent in 2010.
What targets does the company have to meet the needs for sustainable development?
We highlight targets, especially regarding consumer products, baby products, to meet the need for the company's sustainable development.
To IMV, our vision is to become the market leader in every business we cater in the Vietnamese market. Therefore, we will broaden the size and boost capacity by developing more products and expertise this year.
As for customers, we always consider them as a partner, do our best to provide good quality products and high added value and conduct market surveys to learn their requirements.
Regarding the society, we will pay taxes and try to make valuable contributions to economy growth in particular and people in Vietnam in general.
