(VEN) - Recycling rice husks for use in electricity generation and construction material production or as fuel for traditional and industrial-styled furnaces; designing wind power equipment which operates on a sail-related principle; researching the use of coral in treating bone fractures; manufacturing a standard construction sand screening and cleaning system - these are some of the prize winning solutions which were submitted to the 11th national competition of technical creations (2010-2011). Attending the awards ceremony at the Hanoi Opera House on May 6, Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan stated that she highly appreciated the country's great potential for creativity.

(VEN) - A new innovation looks to change the way the construction sector in Vietnam works. Lightweight concrete flooring is both efficient and advantageous, reducing construction costs by 20 percent as well as considerably reducing construction time and usable floor space. The inventor of this new technology, Chairman of ACH Building Consultant Joint Stock Company Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang, has received a patent by the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam.
