(VEN) - Tay Ninh Province is endeavoring to become a major part of the Southern Key Economic Zone and attract more domestic and foreign investment projects to boost socioeconomic development. Thanks to suitable policies and contributions of all economic sectors, the province has gained significant achievements in the process of intensive international integration.
Joining this process, many companies in Tay Ninh Province are boosting investment and are operating effectively. One of the successful examples is the Hung Duy Import, Export, Trade and Transportation Technology Company Limited.
Le Huu Hung, the general director of the company, said that the company has surveyed the market carefully to choose suitable fields of investment, paying primary attention to ensuring product quality in both production and trading activities. Currently, the company works as an official sole distributor for large consumer goods producers such as Unilever, Abbott, Lotte, and Kinh Do. At the same time, the company is operating a manioc starch production plant with capacity of 150 tonnes of products per day.
The company is accelerating the implementation of two large-scaled projects so that they can be put into operation in late 2012. One of these projects is the 126ha Thanh Xuan industrial complex with a central wastewater treatment system. The other project is the Bau Ca Na eco-tourist site that is hoped to attract large numbers of visitors to Tay Ninh Province. These are important projects that will contribute considerably to socioeconomic development in the province.
Le Huu Hung said that while the industrial zones and industrial complexes of most localities nationwide are lacking facilities to treat wastewater, the company has made a good decision to invest in building a central wastewater treatment plant for the Thanh Xuan industrial complex. He said that the above two projects will create jobs for more than 2,000 direct and indirect workers in Tay Ninh Province.
Along with promoting investment, the company takes active part in social movements, for example the Politburo-launched campaign to encourage Vietnamese people to buy Vietnamese goods. Every year, the company donates more than VND1 billion to the provincial fund for the poor and pays VND6 billion in taxes to the State budget.
Regarding the orientation for future development, Le Huu Hung said that with a professional workforce, the company will intensify investment in industrial complexes, eco-tourist sites and multifunctional sports centers. At the same time, the company will expand its distribution networks to other provinces/cities. Next year, the company will build a new plant to produce wheat flour with capacity of 200 tonnes of products per day.
With its development strategy, the Hung Duy Import, Export, Trade and Transportation Technology Company Limited did and will continue to contribute to boosting the growth of Tay Ninh's economy and the province's international integration process./.
